ABSTRACTS ON USB KEY

The HUPO 2011 Abstracts will be available on a USB key. Participants will receive a voucher which will allow them to collect the key at the Agilent exhibition stand (stand N° 1340) during the exhibition opening hours.

BADGES

Name badges must be visible and used at all times, anywhere at the Congress Centre.

BANKS & AUTOMATIC TELLER MACHINES (ATM)

There is an ATM located at Palexpo. It is located near the entrance foyer of the Congress Centre. Please ask the Registration Desk for further information.

CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE

Certificate of Attendance can be collected at the Registration Area (Self-Badge Printing desk) as of Tuesday, 6 September 2011, morning.

BIODEGRADABLE CONGRESS BAG

Participants will receive a congress bag voucher which will allow them to collect the bag with all the congress documents at the Registration Area (Congress Bags desk).

DUPLICATION / RECORDING

Any form of duplication (recording, audiotaping, digital taping, photography and video) is prohibited in the sessions. Permission to do so should be sought from the Congress Organisers.

EXHIBITION AREA INFORMATION

The HUPO 2011 Exhibition, featuring commercial displays of International Organisations, Pharmaceutical Companies, Media Publishers and Scientific Societies, will be located in Hall 1 of the Congress Centre.

The Registration Desk, catering facilities and Poster Sessions will also be located in the Exhibition hall.

LUNCHES AND COFFEE BREAKS

Lunches and coffee breaks are included in the Registration Fee.
They will be served in the Exhibition Hall during the Exhibition opening hours from Monday 5 to Tuesday 6 September.
On Sunday, 4 September the morning coffee break and the lunch will be served in the Foyer of Rooms ABC and on Wednesday, 7 September, the morning coffee break and the lunch will be served in the Exhibition Hall.
A cash bar will be available inside the Exhibition during the Exhibition opening hours.

INTERNET

Free WIFI is provided in the Exhibition Hall and in front of rooms ABC. Please refer to the Registration Desk for more information. A Cyber Cafes is situated inside the Exhibition.

HUPO OFFICE

The HUPO Office is located in Office 3 on the mezzanine leading to rooms D-E-F-G. 

FUTURE MEETINGS

A Future Meetings table is located in the Exhibition Area.

LANGUAGE

English is the official Congress language.

PARKING

There is a public parking at Palexpo, P12. It is open and accessible 24 h.
Cost: CHF 1.50 per hour, CHF 15 per day

POSTER HELP DESK

There is a Poster Help Desk in the Poster Area. The Poster Help Desk has material to affix posters.

POSTER SESSIONS

Posters will be displayed for the duration of the poster session. Poster presenters have been scheduled to be by their poster according to the programme times. Odd numbers will be presented on Monday 5 September, even numbers will be presented on Tuesday 6 September. Wednsday 7 September remains for free presentations.

RULES

Smoking Policy – The HUPO 2011 Congress is a non-smoking event. Participants are kindly requested to refrain from smoking in the Congress venue, including the Exhibition Area.

Mobile Phones – Delegates are kindly requested to keep their mobile phones in the off position in the rooms where scientific and educational sessions are being held, as well as during poster sessions.

TRANSPORTATION

With any hotel reservation, a free transportation ticket on the Geneva public transportation network (TPGUnireso) for the duration of the congress is provided. During HUPO 2011, the Congress badge will also grant participants free access to the Geneva public transport network.

SPEAKER PREVIEW ROOM

Please ensure that you have visited the Speaker Preview Room to confirm your audiovisual requirements at least 2 hours prior to the start of your session. However, it is recommended speakers register with the Speaker Preview Room the day before their presentation. The Speaker Preview Room is located at the entrance of the Congress Centre.
